The carbon fiber cloth reinforcement method can play different reinforcement roles for different components. First of all, the higher tensile strength of carbon fiber cloth can be due to the reinforcement of bending members. For example, beams and slabs can effectively replace or supplement the tensile performance of steel bars by pasting carbon fiber cloth to the bottom tensile zone, and improve the bearing capacity of bending members. In addition, in the opening of the floor slab, if the impact of the opening on the slab is small, carbon fiber cloth can also be pasted around the opening as a supplementary reinforcement for reinforcement.

When the ductility of reinforced concrete is insufficient and earthquake-resistant reinforcement is required, it can also be reinforced with carbon fiber cloth in the form of circumferential beams. For small eccentric compression members and walls, the carbon fiber cloth can only withstand the tensile stress but not the pressure, so the compressive reinforcement of the two is ineffective.
